Good day Good Brother mates, and welcome to the Super Show-Down (under) preview post! I would qualify this offering as a network special as opposed to a PPV but it should be exciting nonetheless.WWE is is really giving our friends down under a heck of show, so with out further adieu let’s examine the card.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker

We might as well jump into the deep end right off the bat and talk about the most hyped match of the show. Quite possibly the most exciting aspect of the match will be HBK and Kane on the outside. We should definitely see some fireworks as Michaels allegedly ramps up for an in ring return. As far as the match itself, hopefully these two icons can tell a good story, as the action is likely to be slow and plodding. While ‘Taker and Hx3 are undeniable Hall of Fame performers, it is no secrete both are well past their prime.

I am wondering if this night will set up HBK’s return? If so, will it be a continuance with one of these competitors or maybe a much desired dream match (cough AJ Styles cough).

The Shield vs. Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre

I would not be the least bit surprised if this is the match of the night. Due to everything that has happened since, it is easy to forget just how great the chemistry is among The Shield. Although Ziggler is a “heat killer”, he has undeniable talent between the ropes and will likely be the worker for his team. Hot tags to Strowman and McIntyre will keep the match exciting.

The big question of the evening, will Ambrose turn on his “brothers”?

WWE Championship — AJ Styles (c) vs. Samoa Joe (No Disqualification, No Countout)

The build up to this match has been excellent! This reminds me so much of an Attitude Era feud! If the match lives up to half the hype that has built up over the last few weeks, then it may be match of the year.

AJ and Joe have a great deal of history and I always find their matches entertaining!

Excitement level: Standing

Prediction: AJ Styles retains

Ronda Rousey & The Bella Twins vs. The Riott Squad

I feel like a lot has been taken away from this match with all the focus being on Brie accidentally injuring Liv Morgan. Previously, I saw this as a set up for the Bella’s to turn on Rousey but now, we probably get a straight forward match.

Excitement level: Reclining

Prediction: Rousey & The Bella’s

Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz (No. 1 Contendership)

I think the stipulations adds some much needed umphf to this rivalry. I look for a foil to Daniel Bryan to appear to cost him the match. Ultimately, this will lead to Bryan vs Miz for the title at ‘Mania.

Excitement level: Sitting upright

SmackDown Women’s Championship — Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

This will be a really good, if not a great match. I don’t see Charlotte carrying the title on the 24 hour flight back to the Queen City as Becky is just starting to hit her stride.

John Cena & Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens & Elias

I’m concerned this match will not get enough time to reach its ceiling. This could be a very entertaining bout but I’m predicting a squash by the good guys.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship — New Day (c) vs. The Bar

The Bar has had a much longer life than I expected when they were put together. I really feel like a couple titles will change hands on this night and this win could help put The Bar back in the forefront of the tag team division.

Asuka & Naomi vs. The IIconics

Here is a case of, “What do we do with these ladies?” We get this match…

Cruiserweight Championship — Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Buddy Murphy

Yet another match of the night candidate. I look for Buddy Murphy to really bring it for the “hometown crowd”. It could also be a good time to make the switch.

I hope everyone enjoys the show. Brace yourselves for tons of set up for Evolution during the next couple weeks. On a personal not, I’ve tried Vegemite, and it was disgusting. I feel very slighted that the people who invented this vile substance get such a great card and I got Styles vs Mahal.
