WWE: Money in the Bank 2019

Hey hey Good Brother’s nation. After a mercifully long lay-off from PPV’s, We find ourselves in the midst of the Money in the Bank weekend. In the past, MitB has been one of the more exciting nights of the year! On paper the card looks promising but the on screen product has been…um….lacking? dull? painful to watch! Alas though, whether by habit or way of life, I still watch. Therefore, I want to try to be excited for this PPV. So while you think this may be for you, it is really for me!

So after Wrestlemania, I increased my record to 11 over .500, at a smooth 25-14 prediction record. If there is ever a show to knock me off my pedestal, this is the show. I will press on and do my best, let’s check out the card.

The Usos vs Bryan and Rowan (c)

On paper, this should be a great match. Bryan and Rowan have quickly gel’ed as a team and The Usos are arguably the best tag team of the decade in any promotion.

All that being said, I feel like this is a match to confirm the legitimacy of The Eco-Warriors of Metal!

Excitement level: 3.8

Prediction: Bryan and Rowan

Ariya Daivari vs Tony Nese (c)

One of the great things about 205 Live is their willingness to give champions time to make their mark. Nese captured the crown and while Daivari is certainly worthy, it would really be going against the grain to see a title change this early.

Excitement level: 3.1

Prediction: Nese

Rey Mysterio vs Samoa Joe (c)

These two guys will once again lock up for the US Title and perhaps they will get more than the 68 seconds they were given during Wrestlemania. This is a tough match to call, while you think it is redemption time for Mysterio, Joe really needs to retain. I could see Dominick becoming involved and a weird finish.

Excitement level: 3.2

Prediction: Joe retains

Kevin Owens vs Kofi Kingston (c)

So far Kofi has fought off the challenge of Daniel Bryan but Owens seems poised strike midnight on Kofi’s Cinderella story. This is such a tough bout to call. On one hand it seems way to soon to end Kofi’s run but on the other, Owens would present an excellent chase for Kofi to regain his title.

I will throw it out there, could this be the time to break up New Day? Xavier tired of the beatings he’s taken for Kofi? We’ll see…

Excitement level: 3.8

Prediction: Owens

The Miz vs Shane McMahon

If Miz doesn’t win, look for him to go away for a while. Maybe that’s the plan with his new baby on the way.

Excitement level: 0.5

Prediction: Miz

Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch (c)

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.

Excitement level: 0.75

Prediction: Becky

Roman Reigns vs Elias

This is a fresh match up as the new chosen, Elias, takes on the big dog. Unfortunately, I have concerns with this match getting any time of which to speak.

Excitement level: 1.5

Prediction: Roman

Women’s MitB

There are a number of worthwhile contenders in this bout and it should live up to the hype. I feel that any of these ladies could benefit from winning the brief case but Mandy Rose would be the most entertaining owner.

Excitement level: 3.75

Prediction: Mandy

Men’s MitB

Braun Strowman is likely to determine the winner. Therefore you can probably throw out Corbin and McIntyre. I think Zayn would be the most entertaining with the case but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Excitement level: 3.75

Prediction: Andrade

AJ Styles vs Seth Rollins (c)

This is somewhat of a dream match for the Universal title, even though they locked horns while they were in the indies. This very well could be match of the night if both competitors bring their A-game.

Excitement level: 3.8

Prediction: Seth Rollins

Lacey Evans vs Becky Lynch (c)

They have had a decent lead up to this match, though the program with Charlotte has been a distraction. Also, let’s be honest, Lacey has been cringy in the mic.

Excitement level: 2.75

Prediction: Lacey Evans

That’s how I see things playing out tonight, thoughts?
