And ANOTHER new feature, the Smackdown Top 10! We’re ranking the Top 10 superstars and tag teams on WWE’s Smackdown brand each week.
Rankings are based on wins and losses, with extra points given when titles are involved. Rankings are based on the last 10 weeks of Smackdowns and any PPVs that may entail. Weekly scores depreciate, so, for example a win this week is worth more than a win a month ago.
Only superstars on the Smackdown brand will be ranked in the Smackdown rankings. This is partly why Dolph Ziggler is listed without his Raw Tag Team Champion partner Robert Roode.

Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley is our first weekly #1. Bayley has been on a huge hot streak since her turn to the dark side. She and Raw bestie Sasha Banks scored a tag team victory over Carmella and #5 Charlotte Flair last night. So far, Sasha seems to be Bayley’s remedy for Charlotte, who also came up short in a title match at Clash of Champions.
WWE Champ Kofi Kingston is in just behind Bayley at #2. Kofi was not in action on last night’s Smackdown, but he’s facing a huge obstacle next week when he defends his title against Brock Lesnar. Will Kofi carry the Smackdown banner into the FOX era?
Recent WWE Title contender Randy Orton is in at #3. He was absent from Smackdown Live altogether last night and may be looking for a new program if Kofi moves on to work long term with The Beast Incarnate.
Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura is in at #4. The King of Strong Style had his first Smackdown Live match in three weeks last night with a win over Ali. With Nakamura’s recent pairing with Sami Zayn, he has a big upside for the first time in a while.
The New Day come in at #6, after basically squashing the B-Team last night. Big E & Woods are easily the top tag team on Smackdown right now, especially considering Raw’s The Revival currently hold the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. Kind of an embarrassing situation for the blue brand, somewhat made up for by #7 Dolph Ziggler, who is one half of the Raw Tag Team Champions. If the rumors of a post-FOX brand lockdown are true, this tag team titles situation needs to be cleared up sooner than later.
Speaking of tag teams, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville find themselves in at #9, in spite of a loss to the Kabuki Warriors. Fire & Desire have come up short a lot in recent weeks, but they’ve at least shown up, which is more than you can say for a lot of their peers.
Chad Gable sits at #8, thanks in part to his run up to the King of the Ring tournament finals. Gable is now feuding with KotR winner Baron Corbin, and scored a spite victory last night over Mike Kanellis.
Ali comes in at #10 this week, following a loss to Nakamura on SD Live. Ali has a spotty win-loss record as of late. He lost to Nakamura in an IC Title match at the Smackville event a couple of months ago. It will be interesting to see what happens with Ali in the new FOX era – will his push ramp up again or will he get lost in the shuffle?
